Our Vision

The overall Music and Worship Ministry at First Baptist Church of  Douglas exists to glorify God by leading others as we “celebrate  in worship”, “communicate the gospel” through Biblical truths,  “connect in community” during rehearsals and Sunday morning,  and “contribute to the Kingdom” by using our talents to invest in  the body.

Opportunities in Music and Worship

The Kid’s Choir consists of children from Kindergarten through the 5th grade. Kid’s Choir provides children an opportunity to learn music as well as experience the joy of worshipping Jesus while helping to lead others in worship.


Getting Involved

  • Weekly Rehearsals – Wednesday Nights from 6:00 to 7:30 PM
  • Kindergarten and 1st – 6:00 – 6:25 PM  (Sonia Hattaway)
  • 2nd thru 5th – 6:30 – 6:55 PM (Terri Bailey)

To volunteer and to sign up your children, please call the church office.

The Worship Choir is made up of singers of all ages who are called to lead others in worship. Enrollment is open to any First Baptist Douglas member (9th grade and up) who loves to sing  and is committed to being at rehearsals, Sunday mornings, and special events.

Getting Involved

  • Weekly Rehearsals: Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30 PM in the choir room
  • Weekly Services – Sunday morning from 10:45-12:00PM in the sanctuary

How to Join

  • No audition required
  • Simply click on the button below and fill out the enrollment form or join us in the rehearsal to pick up a paper copy.

Worship Team members are members of the Worship Choir who have auditioned and been chosen to serve as a worship team singer. Please call the church office to set up an audition.

The Worship Band consists of a variety of players: bass, drums, guitar, and keyboard who have auditioned and been chosen to help lead in our worship gatherings. Please call the church office to set up an audition.

The Tech Team at First Baptist Church supports every ministry with Audio, Visual, Computer, and Lighting support. Experience is preferred but we will provide training as needed. Please call the church office for more information.
